About Robyn Opie

Lives: Adelaide, South Australia.

Pets: Two dogs, Spock and Buzz.

Favourite Colour: Blue.

Favourite Food: Chocolate
(or should I say vegetables)
Chocolate is my favourite type of
cake, ice cream, milkshake etc.

Favourite Drink: Filtered water (Boring!)

Favourite Place: I like the beach. I love the sound of waves.
But I also like the hills and being surrounded by lots of trees.
Adelaide has everything. It's a great place to live.

Favourite Thing to Do: Write Children's Books.
I also love to read children's books.

Favourite Sport: Aussie Rules Football and my favourite
team is the Adelaide Crows. Go Crows!

Sports I play: Tennis and netball.

Favourite Movie: Pirates of the Caribbean. And the
one I'm making based on my book . . .

Favourite Actor: Johnny Depp (especially as a pirate)

Favourite Singer: Australian Idol star, Anthony Callea.

Favourite Author: I can't say. I know too many authors
and I don't want to upset anyone.

Favourite Book (own): Black Baron
(Black Baron will be published by Walker Books in 2008)

Favourite Character (own): Black Baron,
a champion racing cockroach.

Best Moment: I've had so many. I love life and every
day is wonderful. When the movie producer told me
that he was going to turn my book into a movie.

Worst Moment: When my dog, Tonto, died in my arms.

Most Embarrassing Moment: My dad taught me to ride a bike.
The first time I rode by myself I went tearing out of the
driveway and straight into the front of a car.

Naughtiest Moment: I got glasses when I was five. I never
wore them because, as soon as I got home, I buried them
out the front of my house. (They're probably still there.)
